I took this photo of Jamie, successfully completing the 'Broken Bridge' obstacle at 1988 Rolex. I just learned of his passing today. I thought members of his family might like to have this framed wall hanging of him. I sat at that obstacle for most of the XC phase, trying to get the "perfect photo" and it was Jamie! After I returned home that year, I enlarged the photo and framed it. It's been hanging on my office wall since. If you would like to have it, send me your mailing address and I will FedX it to you, in his memory. Not many horses & riders were successful over that very difficult obstacle and it was the 1st time to appear on the course in Lexington, KY. I've enjoyed this for many years - I continue to be awed by his courage!
Best regards,
Mary Osgood

We are so sad to hear of Jamie's passing.
We enjoyed his company many times at eventing competitions and clinics. We remember him as a coach and competitor with a positive and "get-r-done" attitude who treated all levels of riders with equal enthusiasm. Any rider who attended a clinic with Jamie learned a lot and had tremendous fun in the process.
Our sincere sympathies to his family and many friends.

Al and I were both sadden to hear of Jamie's passing.
We had a lot of fun riding with Jamie many years ago at his farm in King Township. We had always hoped to meet up with him again when we were up visiting in Canada. The equestrian community has definitely lost a true horseman with a great competitive spirit and a big heart. He will be missed by many. Our condolences go out to his family and his many friends.

Jamie was a talented equestrian whom I called on often for advice. We had many adventures together which I will remember with great fondness and laughter. He was a kind man with a big heart. He loved his horses, his family, his friends and Whisper.
We last spoke a few weeks ago. I will miss him and remember him fondly.
Always,
