Obituary of Gordon Ernest Rae

Rae, Gordon Ernest (Past Principal, Owen Public School) Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on Monday, February 7, 2022, at the age of 83 years. Gord Rae of Sutton-by-the-Lake, formerly of Pefferlaw, beloved husband of Ruth (nee Toomey/Terrell). Dear father of Douglas Rae and his wife Marilyn of Keswick and the late Michael Rae and stepfather of Patricia Bryant and her husband Ted of Perth, Martin Toomey and his wife Nelly of Whitby and the late Shane Toomey. Loving Grandpa Gord of Lee-Ann (Brett), Matthew, Stephanie, the late Scottie, Ashley (Josh), Carolyn, Julia, Ryan (Sera), Megan (Dave), Andrew and Jared. Great Grandfather of Kianna, Rhys, Gunnar and Jaehyeok. Fondly remembered by his many friends and co-workers. A lover of all sports, especially basketball and baseball. Gord was a very active member of Club 55, Pefferlaw and a traveller of the world. A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre for their care of Gord.
