We miss Gordon so much already. He was a special family member to us and we looked forward to seeing him every year at Thanksgiving. He made it so much fun for us and all the kids there too; always smiling and laughing and having a good time. I know that he was proud of his Scottish heritage, same as my dad, and when my own dad passed away, Gordon was that one connection we still had with the Murray's. Missing him. Gord was principal at Owen where I had my first job with NYBE as secretary. It was a pleasure to go to work every day!
His positive energy, smile, outlook was a joy. A true advocate for every child and staff member.
He truly will be missed and I am very sorry for your loss.

Ruth - what an amazing quarter century you spent with Gord and what a wonderful, loving, exciting time together. It has been a privilege to spend time with you both and your family. Gord was always honest and straight forward, he had a wicked sense of humour and I feel blessed to have known him and see how happy the two of you lived together! Gord will be missed. My memories will always include the two of you DANCING together!

Ruth, Ashley, Josh, and all of the Rae Family,
I knew Gord and Ruth from Virginia United Church. Also through his son, Mike, and his granddaughter, Ashley - who I've known for years. What a wonderful man. I am so very sorry for your loss.

Dear Ruth and family,
We are so deeply saddened by the loss of Gord. His positive outlook on life was amazing and he has touched the hearts of so many. We will never forgot the good times we spent together from being a senior basketball star at NTCI, hiring a young teacher back in the 1980’s, dancing in my dance recitals, taking our kids on many adventurous boat rides to our recent cruises together with Gord and Ruth to Hawaii and Panama as well as many social events. Rest In Peace Gord! Xo

To Dear Ruth and family members,
I had the honor of knowing Gord my entire life. He was the most amazing next door neighbour growing up with him in Pefferlaw. I cannot remember all the countless memories made with Gord, Ruth and my family together, just too many to count. Gord teaching me to play baseball in the yard, his family and mine celebrating my brother's backyard wedding, my children meeting a family member born from another family, the list can go on and on. We will always remember you Gord as the most amazing, giving, loving person. We will forever miss you

Our family is so very sorry to hear of Gord's passing. We have been fortunate to have had Gord in our family for decades as father of our extended family member and Gord's son, Doug. We have enjoyed many happy memories and get-togethers and especially when Gord conducted a dream come true in taking us on a local boat ride to celebrate an 80th birthday and an after boat ride celebration with Gord and Ruth. Gord was a good man to our family and we extend our deepest deepest sympathy to Ruth, Doug and all family members and friends who will greatly miss his presence. May Gord now be enjoying basketball and all sports with the angels in Heaven. Violet Harrison, Cindy Brownley and Bonnie McLaughlin and family.
