Snoddon, Doreen Marie (Bagshaw) Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket with her children by her side on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at the age of 90 years. Doreen Snoddon, beloved wife of the late Norman Snoddon. Loving mother of Gary Snoddon (Patricia), James Snoddon (Colleen) and Anne Bennett (Bill). Cherished grandma of Cameron, Karissa, Ryan, Brent, Jaden, Kaitlyn and Christian. Special great-gran to Emma, Abby, Hannah, Cooper, Max, Levi, Carter, Dawson, Lily, Ellie and Bryn. Loving sister of Elva Duncan and Freda Snider. Doreen will be remembered for her love for her family and friends, especially at the Oaks in Jackson's Point, where she resided for the past 17 years. Doreen was born in Brock Township, July 1931, to Fred and Jennie Bagshaw. She married Norman Snoddon in 1953 and they resided on Norman's family farm where she worked very hard long hours. She was also active in community events including the Udora United Church and the U.C.W.. Later in life, she worked at the River Glen Haven Nursing Home as a kitchen assistant for 17 years until she retired. Doreen was a very strong, courageous person and will be dearly missed. Resting at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. (Please call the funeral home at 905-722-3274 to confirm your attendance). Private family funeral service. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Sunderland. Memorial donations to Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
