I worked with Jim at Toronto Water at Central Pumping Control and have recently heard of his passing. Jim always radiated a sense of simple competency, that he could successfully complete any task that was required. Always happy with a ready smile for all and filled with a quiet competency. Fair winds and following seas my friend.

It was an honour to work with Jim at Toronto Water. Jim worked for the City for over 32 years. He was skilled, funny, and great to work with. Condolences to Jim’s family and we will keep his memory alive in our hearts and minds. Jim pictured at his retirement in 2015

Jim retired from the city of Toronto Water Dept I’m 2015. He was an experienced, respected and well liked member of the City of Toronto Water Supply watermain and operations team. He will particularly be remembered for his effective training of new employees and as a person who remembered his co workers by attending their retirements. I was Jim’s supervisor for most of his career and was privileged to host his retirement party at work. On behalf of the Toronto Water Team, comdolences to his family. Jim will be missed.
