Ï bought a lovely winter farm scene painting, with gold trimmed frame, at Salvation Army. On the reverse is written:
"Painting by Aunt Helen Slaght". From the condolences, seemed as tho she was a special person to know. Alas, Ï was not privileged to meet her. Ïf Ï had, Ï would have requested that she leave said painting to me, instead of allowing it to be thrown out with (I'm sure) her other personal items. So...many thanks to whomever that may be

We knew Helen from church and always made a point to share a hug, even when she no longer could say our names. She was a lovely lady and we are so honoured to have shared some time with her. Our condolences to the family.

Visits with Mrs. Slaght were always special. She treated us like her family with love and kindness. We will always remember her warm smile. : )

Helen Mary Slaght, you will always be remembered for your kindness, your fierce independence, and your sweet personality. You inspired so many with your engagement in the community; whether it was lending your time to your church, participating in exercise classes, or charming those around you with your upbeat attitude toward aging and life. You have left a lasting legacy for your children and grandchildren to remember with pride. Love and sympathy to the Slaght & Summerland families, relatives and friends.
