Obituary of Barbara Elaine Jones

Barbara Elaine Jones (Rendell) January 5, 1949 St John's NL- January 11, 2018 Sutton ON Barb was truly a channel of God's peace. She carried on a legacy of love and lived a life of selfless service. As a mother she built a family on a foundation of joy and faith. As a teacher she championed education and taught by the example that she led. She encouraged her children to fulfill their potential and follow their own dreams. Her enthusiasm, sense of humour and legendary smile made everyone want to be around her. Barb was surrounded by the love of her family, friends and the communities that she devoted her life to. Loving Wife of 47 years to John, doting Mother to Sherry (Marty), Christie (Ian), Stephanie (Braden) and Andrew, adoring Nanny to Lauren, Brooke and Madison and dear Sister to Betty and David. Prayer of St Francis Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. Visitation will be held at Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, Sutton on Thursday, January 18th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The service celebrating the lives that Barb and John lived together will be held at Knox United Church in Sutton at 11:30 am, Friday, January 19th . Interment in Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton.
