Our deepest sympathy to all of John and Barb’s family and friends as we support each other through this tremendous loss. Her laughter and love will be the memories that we will always cherish.
Aunt Barb was as dear to my family as any of our ‘blood’ relatives, just like Uncle John, and her love and support of our family and especially my mom can never be replaced. From my earliest childhood she made me feel completely welcome in her home at any and all times - her laughter, jokes and singing and kids parties will always be an integral part of my childhood memories. Her love for her husband and family are a testimony to her character, and I am filled with joy and hope to see that it lives on in her children and grandchildren.
You will all continue in our prayers, and may the courage, strength, gratitude and love you have shown for them and for each other continue to carry you through the challenges ahead. Your parents would be so incredibly proud of you all.

Mrs. Jones.... her light and laughter would fill any room she was in. Her warmth and kindness were second to none. Barb's Family,
I am deeply saddened by your Mom's passing. Barb and I were friends in high school and university. We kept in touch through Christmas Cards and met whenever she visited home. She never changed, she was still the delightful, caring friend I remember. She radiated her happiness, and her love and pride in her family were evident. She always brightened my day!

We were best friends during MUN days, travelling together to New York in 1968 and then around Europe in 1970 .
So many happy memories and so many regrets that we lost touch. But she was never forgotten. We both left Newfoundland many years ago but I suspect Barb remained,as I remain, a Newfie to the core

We are so sorry about your double loss. Praying for your comfort as you go through the mourning process. We knew your mother first when she did teaching at Keswick Public School where our children attended and Ron first taught.Recently we got to know her better when we attended St.James occasionally .Last spring I even went to a ladies' retreat in your parents' van which Rose Shepard drove.We all had a lovely time,never realizing this dreaded disease would soon come upon her-- and also your dear Dad!
