It is difficult at times like this to express ones thoughts but the loss of a loved one is never easy on family and close friends. I never really got to know Dianne but my heart goes out to my nephew Richard Harrison and I truly understand what he is going through. Di was a rock. She owed nuthin' to nobody and was a trade unionist to her core. She was a Woman of Steel, a friend to the end, and one of the purest, No-BS people I have ever known. Her loss is felt by so many.

I offer my deepest sympathy to the closest members of Dianne's family. Although I did not have the opportunity to spend a great deal of time with her, she was a rock in the lives of members of my immediate family and I know that she will be forever missed. I have only ever heard wonderful things of her and I know she was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. I do have one specific memory when visiting at her home. All of the girls were watching City of Angels together which brought me to know her as a very passionate person. It is heartbreaking to know that my family is suffering such a great loss. I wish that her soul may rest peacefully. Please accept my most sincere condolences on behalf of myself, my family including my partner Andrew, children Soraya and Nyah and my mother Carmen.

Dianne and I worked in negotiations with Crown. Cork & Seal. Since that time 20 years ago we have become very good friends.
She was a beautiful and talented woman who I will miss as will all of her Union Sisters and Brothers.

I am saddened to hear the news about Dianne's passing. We met through our work for the USW and I'm proud to call her my union sister. She was so dedicated to helping members understand the benefits of belonging to our union. When I think of Dianne, I remember a funny, smart, caring, and strong woman that took the time to visit with everyone she came in contact with. I am fortunate to have gotten to spend time with her and know that she will be missed by many.
