Hopgood, Norman George Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the age of 93 years. Norman George Hopgood, beloved son of Albert Edward Hopgood and Edith Ellen Hopgood (Clarke) of Montreal. Beloved husband of the late Rose Jane Hopgood (Rediker). Predeceased by his only brother Arnold of Terrasse Vaudreuil, Quebec. Dear uncle to Brenda, Brent and Bruce. Norman attended several schools in Montreal, including Sir George Williams College and the Montreal Technical Institute. He served his apprenticeship at the CPR Angus Shops in Montreal and spent his working career with the CPR Mechanical Department in Montreal. His interests included curling, skiing, square dancing and golf. He was a member of the Anglican Parish of Georgina. Resting at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017. Funeral Service in St. James Anglican Church, 31 River Street, Sutton, Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with visitation in the church from 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Spring interment of cremated remains, Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton. Memorial condolences may be made at www.forrestandtaylor.com
