Larry, Jane and All Family Members,
Sincerest condolences from Cindy, Jake, Trent, myself & the Nailor family...
I must admit that I'm horribly awkward in these situations and find myself unable to find the right things to say, or know when it’s appropriate to say them.
I truly wish I'd been there yesterday just to give you a big’ol hug as sometimes that says it all!...and please know that we’re all with you in spirit.
They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and we are all a reflection of the people who raised and showed us the way...I know your brother was a big part of that Larry, and he helped raise a dandy!
You always come from a place of humility and integrity, and hold high your family values...I want to take this opportunity to thank you, and Orest, for that.
Having lost my father, I know that this is a huge leak of love that won’t heal quickly, but you can take comfort in knowing that you all now have your very own guardian angel. I also know that your family and friends will be able to celebrate his life in a positive way!!!

My deepest condolences go to everyone in the family and my prayers are with you all during this time of grievance.
It is never an easy moment when we lose the ones we love and who are close to our hearts. I will always remember the things Orest taught me while helping him renovate the "house in the front" of the farm. I learned quite a bit during that time and knowledge that has helped me through the years. Thank you Orest for those memories you will never be forgotten.

Liz and Family: I was just a little girl when you first came to look at my parent's farm in Virginia. My Mother always remarked that she was so pleased that such a loving family was going to fill the house with children and good times.

Dear Liz & Extended Family:
It is with sadness and Sorrow we hear of your loss of Orest. It seems like yesterday that we were making the trek from Craigmore School come rain or shine and we were close friends and our parents were close neighbours of Orest's Mom & Dad. Many memories of visits and family gatherings and card games.
We regret that the miles were so distant that we were not able to visit more often. The visit a couple of years ago with Lawrence and Jane was momentous and we hope that this brought some consolation to Orest as well. We missed seeing you then.
Liz, we extend our sympathies to you and the entire family on the loss of a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Friend and a great Man.

My sympathy to the entire Kortko family. Orest was so well known and respected in the community, and his home decor stores were regularly frequented by my family. I did not know all of his children but knew Darlene and Danny and of course, Liz, well when I lived in the area.

It is sad to know that another classmate of mine form Craigmore School near Hafford, Sask. has passed away. Although it is about 70 years since I last saw Orest, I always remembered him for his outgoing personality, tremendous fastball pitching ability, and the fact that he had the longest distance(5 miles) to get to school.
