My deepest sympathy and condolences in your loss, Thomasina. LaVerne was a true gentleman and always a friendly man. My mom, Sophie Fairbarn, whom we lost on August 30th, always was fond of LaVerne. He helped shape the lives of many young students in his career. RIP LaVern.
