My parents were Lena and Carman Brandon and we lived at 22 Fermoy Road, Scarborough, ON directly across the road from Ellen and her husband Tom. I was the youngest of my siblings and most likely the only one still living at home while Ellen and Tom lived across from us. I believe I can speak for my parents as well when I say what wonderful neighbours the McQuades were. I remember being over at the McQuades and watching Ellen and Tom enjoy a dance or two. I think Ellen was one who liked to dress up for occasions. Any time I saw her, she always had a wave and a smile for me. I am sure my parents may have had a drink or two with Ellen and Tom throughout the years. At some point along the way, I remember being told the McQuades were moving up to the Sutton area. I knew we would definitely miss them, however how very exciting for them to be moving. Although I did not know Ellen (and her husband Tom) as well as my parents, I can tell you Ellen was a lady through and through. May God bless you Ellen McMillan McQuade!
