Robin, I was very sorry to here from my sister Donna that your Mom had passed away. She was a great room mate to our Mom Lyalla at the Newmarket hospital. I'm so glad we got to visit her at Rouge Valley LTC while she was there - she seemed quite happy in her new home there.

Dear Robin,
I'm so glad I got to meet your mom, although, I felt like I knew her from the many times my mom spoke of her with such fond memories.
On her visits to see family, mom loved it when you girls took her to visit Gertrude and Gary where she was treated like royalty. Home baked goods and preserves were always to be had. Gertrude would send mom preserves when Wendy came home. How she enjoyed them, especially those jams.
What a thoughtful and kind woman your mom was.
Our hearts go out to you Robin and your family and to Wendy and Lynn as we know Gertrude was a second mom to both of them.
We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry Robin for the passing of your mom. Lynn and Wendy, I know that Gertrude was like a mother to you and that you will all miss her dearly. Also my condolences to you Jack, and all the rest of Gertrude's family and friends. I know she will be so missed by everyone. I remember Gertrude as always with a smile on her face and she could bring one to mine. I believe that she would like these words which are part of a poem I once read "Think of me with smiles and laughter, because that's how I'll remember you all...

Robin and Family
Although I only had a few occasions to spend time with Gertrude I learned allot about the kind and generous person she was. I still chuckle to myself when I think of the time they treated us th Chinese food and how amazed Gertrude and Gary were over a skinny girl having such a large appetite.
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time and may you find peace and comfort in all the great memories you have of Gertrude.

Dear Robbin, and Doreen
I was deeply saddened by the news of Trudy’s passing. Trudy, was such a great person, she will live in my memories forever because she has left footprints on my heart over the years.
Trudy and I were once coworkers, we were great friends. Words cannot express my sorrow. I will miss her smile, laugher and the warmth that so brought into a room and our long chats. I am truly blessed to have met you through her and I really hope that you will visit when you’re in the East Coast.
Dale and little Garry, I know this can’t be easy on you either, and I really hope you know how much Trudy loved you, she’ll now be looking over the three of you like the angel that she’s always been.
Our thoughts are with you and your family during these difficult times.
I am so sorry that I can’t be there for you at this time, lord knows I have tried everything to be able to make it, I’m truly glad I had the opportunity to see her when I came up last, I have those moments engraved in my memories forever.

I will always treasure our special times spent together, especially the fun day we spent, having a picnic and wearing our sun hats, and the lovely walk and conversation we shared. What a beautiful day we had. Everytime that I wear my hat, I will smile and think of you.
