Peacefully at River Glen Haven Nursing Home, Sutton, on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the age of 90 years. Edna Mitchell, formerly of Toronto, beloved wife of the late Charlie Mitchell. Dear mother of Art Mitchell and his wife Willie, Tom Mitchell and Florance Marshall and her husband Ron. Loving grandmother of Hope (Richard), Andrew, Amy (Alain); Cathy, Christine (Tim), Thomas (Laurie); Julie and Dan (Andrea) and great grandmother of 14. Edna will be remembered for her loving and caring compassion as demonstrated by her crocheting over 1800 baby sweaters which have been donated in the name of Christ in over 50 countries. A Memorial Service will be celebrated in the chapel of the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 10 a.m. Interment of cremated remains Erskine Cemetery, Pickering, Monday at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations to Youth Unlimited, 57 Mobile Dr., Toronto, ON, M4A 1H5, would be appreciated by the family.
