He was such a Kind, Giving, Easy Going and Wonderful man I am so Thankful that he was a part of my life. Miss you Uncle Pete. You were the coolest cat around, the man with an open heart and an open door for all us 'kids' at the cottage. I will miss sitting around with you having a glass of wine and listening to your funny stories either looking out over the lake, or all of us gathered around the fire in the evenings playing guitar, or on our way into town by boat (to pick up that random item at the store that we so conveniently forgot to grab the day before because we hoped we might need a reason to get Ol' Brown Sugar out on the water! Lol).
I will cherish and carry these memories with me always... May you RIP. Love you! Xo
Thank you for being you and for everything.

Well, he didn't want to so he would high tail it out the front door and disappear without a trace. I looked up and down the street and he was gone!
I asked him years later how he did this. He said he would go out the front door, jump over the side railing onto the grass then roll under the bushes beside the house where I could not see him. When I went back into the house he would get out of the bushes and go off with his friends without me.
I have many, many more stories to tell you about Peter. He had a lot of fun when he was a kid and a teenager. I remember a lot of them. Ask me about them sometime. In the meantime, Goodbye Uncle, Friend, Jerk, and a fun person to be around.
I will always Love you pal. . . . Steve

OK, I, probably with a couple of exceptions, I have know Peter the longest. I have a lot of memories of him, me, us, our family. He was a spoiled brat from what his sisters said about him. But they still loved him. He never hurt anyone. He was always there to help most people but not me when I was young.
When I was born my parents moved into 283 Jones Avenue where Peter lived with his parents. He was 6 years old at the time. When we grew older my parents bought a house at 338 Coxwell Avenue not far away. We would visit often. When we did, and Peter wanted to go out with his friends to the picture show or whatever, my parents and his would say. "Take Steve with you."

It's with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my grandpa who fought a hard battle with cancer. This is one of the last photos of him. He is one of the wisest people I've ever known. It's hard being here in Australia, away from my family, but at least I know he was proud of me for following my dream.
Rest in peace Gigi.
Love,
Blondie

I was saddened to hear of Peter's passing. I have many very fond memories of good times shared with Peter and his family. Always a positive happy man, he made me feel warm being with him. Anytime I knew Peter was going to be at a function, I could always count on a warm welcome, and a big hug and kiss and many laughs.
Memories go back to Scarborough and his garage. Many times Judy and I stopped after work. Always as laugh and usually an offer of a beer.
Life is often way too short and all we have left are the great thoughts we hold of that person no longer with us.
So sorry for your loss.

RIP Uncle Peter
Marilyn and Andrew and Families,
Be known that your father will always be with you.
Don't visit him where he lay, but visit often in the memories you have of him and he will never be too far...
May your loved ones around you help you through the days ahead.
Remember the worst days only have 24 hours.
Use your memories for comfort and your family & friends for strength.
This is one of the most difficult times of your life and I cannot begin to feel your pain.
Your father was loved deeply but more importantly, was his love for his family.
Let this love not break you down but build you up.
Let the lifetime of love and care and never-ending support he has provided and help raise you up through this sorrowing time and guide you through this.
You are in our thoughts and our prayers...
"those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near, always loved, always missed..."
Love you guys
xox

So many memories spent with Peter, and my fondest memories were spent at the cottage. That was Peter's castle, he was a king, that's for sure, and he welcomed everyone that came to visit him. Steve and I had the privilege of being part of the cottage scene for approximately 36 plus years. Our kids, Karen and Trevor grew up there over the years and then Peter welcomed another generation, Tyler, Emily and Keenan, our grandchildren. I loved having coffee with Peter first thing in the morning on the deck and then enjoying a glass of wine later in the afternoon. My heart goes out to Marilyn & Andrew with the passing of their dad, he was such a great man. Marilyn and Andrew, your dad was always there for me and in turn, I will always be there for you. Love you Peter, to the moon and back. Rest in peace my friend. I will see you always in my dreams. Much love, Judy

Dear Marilyn & Andrew my deepest sympathies at the passing of your Dad. He was my friend for 54 yrs. I have such good memories about the man he was; his kindness, compassion and so very generous. I will miss his sense of humour, how good he was to young couples starting out and to the elderly. Those Memories I will keep in my Heart. I'll Love You and Miss You Forever. Rest in Peace my Dear Friend.

Sometimes in your life, if you're lucky, there is someone special that makes you laugh and smile. Even when long periods of time pass, you can still think back and smile at some of the memories this person has created for you. Peter was this person for me, and I will miss him greatly, but I will still smile and laugh at some of the memories I have of him.
Love always Uncle Pete,
