Dear Bill,
I have always had great respect for Edith, since my student days at Covenent College in the 60's. Edith was a trainor in the interpersonal groups we students were requitred to take and I so appreciated her gentle strong presence. Later I knew her a a great supporter and valued feminist in our work at the Centre for Chistian Studies in Toronto.
She has made a fine contribution with her life.
My prayers are with you and your family as you go forward.

EDITH SPENT PART OF SEVERAL SUMMERS AT THE OGILVIE FARM NEAR WHERE THE CLIFT'S SUMMER PROPERTY WAS LOCATED. MY 3 SISTERS AND MY BROTHER DAN AND I THOUGHT OF HER AS ONE OF THE FAMILY. WHATEVER WAS HAPPENING AT OUR HOUSES SHE WAS PART OF IT.
