We went from kindergarten through and I will catch you on the flip side my friend. All of us born in 57 turned 57 this year and we were suppose to be working on our golden years. You have gone too soon Gord and will be missed!
Watch over your family from where you are now so they can grieve for you without too much sorrow in their hearts.
Love Kathy
ps- I forgive you and your friends for letting my horses out when we were kids and yes I knew it was you before you admitted it!

I have so many fond memories of growing up with Gord: playing chicken on the back track, feeding dandelions to our pet rabbits, exploring the fields and woods behind the Red Barn Theatre. We were outdoors all day - only coming home for meals. We had lots of adventures and we never seemed to be bored. Yes, we did get in trouble - the time I jumped on Gord and broke his arm (he said recently that it only popped out - wished he'd told me sooner!) There was the time I wouldn't share the tire swing in the back yard and he got fed up with waiting. He climbed the huge tree and cut the rope - I went down with a crash and rolled away. Dad never did put the swing back up. Ha! This all brings back a memory of Mom in her glory. Sitting on the dining room table each in a little chair, were three grand children - all born the same year - Angie, Dwayne and Jeremiah. Mom was in her glory - her knitting needles were burning up that year!!
So many memories. I will miss Gord - he died much too young.

Remembering times Gord and Dwayne, spent on Manitoulin with us, are tinged with sadness today. He would come with Betty's gang for weddings, holidays and the annual deer hunt. Those were times of good food, laughter and just being together.
Gord was truly, a loved and valued member of his "extended" family and the most awesome dad to Dwayne.
My family and I just want to tell Dwayne, Jen and Samantha that we are thinking of them and holding them close in our hearts.
Over the years, with passings and life changes we have lost the close connection, but not the memories.
Rest in peace Gord.
Aunt Brenda, Stephanie, Melanie and families.

We have lost a part of our family. Thanksgiving, Father’s Day and Christmas will never be the same.
Jenn and Dwayne have lost their father. Gord was their friend, their comfort and their daughter Sam’s very special “Grandpa G”. Gord had an incredible bond with Dwayne, that he passed through to the next generation, with our granddaughter Sam.
We will work through this loss, with time, as a family.
