Peggy, Neill and Beth:
I was so sorry to hear of Hugh's death. I have nothing but fond memories of Gord's and my days in COR with you all - and Hugh was always such a big part of that.
I know your memories of the good times with Hugh will bring you some comfort to you at this time (as it did and does for me since Gord's death almost 5 years ago) - but friends and family will in the future times also help immensely - but mainly I'm sure your personal faith.
I advised son Jim who now lives in Phoenix of Hugh's death and he asked me to extend his sincere sympathy to you all - he too shared so many of those COR days.
Yours in Christ - Joan Lever

Beth, we were so sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad. I will always remember him at the arena, supporting the boys through thick and thin. He always showed such pride on his face watching Joel fly down the ice. His passing will be hard on you, I know, but also Hailey and Joel, who had such a great role model to look up to. I hope to see you soon my dear to talk about the good old days. I find happy memories make the heart feel better. Take care of yourself and your family.

Dear Peggy, Beth and Neill, Its good to mourn the passing of such a fine gentleman,
teacher, and priest. Yet we should also celebrate his faith and Christian contribution to
the community. He was a giver and we all benefitted from knowing him and listening
to his advice. Thanks Hugh and God bless.

In early 2003, during my travels across the Province, I met a man named Hugh
Kernohan who exemplified the characteristics that Freemasony is founded upon.
Brotherley Love...Relief and Truth !
When I became Grand Master in 2005 - Hugh became the Grand Chaplain
of the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario.
During that year- we travelled many miles together and Hugh was an important
member of our Grand Lodge Team..
The Masons of Ontario were served in more ways than one by Hugh's compassion, his understanding, dedication, as well as his common sense and love of mankind.
All characteristics that he shared freely with so many.
To Peggy and the whole Kernohan family - Sandy and I extend our deepest
sympathy to each of you.
Rest assured his presence with us has made a tremendous difference in the lives of so many.
Gary L.Atkinson and Sandy
