Peacefully with family by his side at Southlake Regional Health Center, on Friday, February 14, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Joe Zammit Sr., beloved husband of the late Carmen Zammit (nee Farrugia). Dear father of Rosemary Lee-Zammit and her husband Lewis Thain, Joseph Zammit Jr. and his wife Laurie, and Paul Zammit and his wife Tara. Beloved grandfather of Natalie Saunders and her husband Sean, Nadine Swanson and her husband Shane, and Jeffrey Zammit and his fiance Rachel. Great-grandfather to Savannah Saunders, Brooklyn Saunders, Carter Swanson and Morgan Swanson. Remembered by his brothers and sisters, Albert Zammit, Mary & Charlie Slattery, Chuck & Carol Zammit, Terry & Ray Morris, Dorris & Walter Fuchs, Joyce & Bill Hendry, and Guy & Linda Zammit and his many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 20916 Dalton Road, Sutton, Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Interment of cremated remains will be held at the Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton. Memorial donations to ShareLife, 1155 Yonge Street, Toronto, M4T 1W2 or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
