Please share a memory of Kevin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Derouin, Kevin Edward It is with profound sadness that the family announces his sudden passing in his 37th year on Saturday February 15th, 2014 at his family home in Sutton West. Cherished son of Judith (predeceased 2005) and Gerry Derouin of Sutton. Loving brother of Mark (wife Jill), Laura Therrien (husband Chris) Traci Richardson (husband Lawrence), Pamella (fiance Eric), and Matthew. Cherished Uncle of Michael, Ashley(God daughter), Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Sarah, and Caden. He will be greatly missed by many uncles, aunts, cousins, & friends, and even his canine nephew Cole. Kevin was born on April 3, 1977 and grew up in Levack, Ontario then moving with his family to Sutton in 1999. Kevin's passion was the theatre. He attended Cambrian College where he was enrolled in Theatre Production and Management and then later attended Seneca College of Applied Arts for Marketing. He held various jobs throughout the industry and was always working diligently on new ideas and projects. His creativity knew no bounds. He loved writing, reading, drawing, photography, gardening, and offering his insight on various topics, whether it was about theatre or politics, Kevin was always more than happy to give you his honest opinion. He loved to bake, and was always up for a new challenge in the kitchen. He also made the best gravy ever. He also enjoyed many sunset boat rides on Lake Simcoe with his family. Kevin will be remembered for his quick wit and his effortless ability to make people laugh. His love for his family and friends was unwavering and we could always count on him to be there in our time of need. He had a great love for his nieces and nephews, he would spend countless hours entertaining them, teaching them how to swim and loved nothing more than to make them giggle. Words cannot express our heart break; Kevin was a true gentle soul with a heart of gold. We have not even begun to realize just how much we will miss him. Resting at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton West, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. Thursday, Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 20916 Dalton Road, Sutton West, Friday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love."Leo Buscaglia
