Teresa and Mrs van Schie. I am so sorry to hear of your dad's/ husband's passing. As I write this on the 1st anniversary (almost to the minute) of my moms death I know the pain and suffering you are all going through. May your memories bring your some peace. A guiding light on our path of life

DAD:
It is hard to believe you are gone and that your journey here on earth is complete. The journey seemed far to short for me.
The tears I shed are for selfish reasons because I know you are in a better place and you no longer have to go through dialysis or struggle to get your breath. The tears I shed are for things I will not be able to do with you again such as renovating houses, going to horse and tractor pulls and a million other things that I took for granted at the time becuase I thought we had more time.
You are the bravest man I`ve ever known. You left your home and your family in Holland to follow a dream to be a farmer, but arrived at port to find your job not there. Instead of turning and heading back to the safety you knew ,you worked hard and struggled through. Not allowing those who treated you poorly and who were disrespectful to you change who you were or stop you from achieving your goal. You did not allow them to interfer with your dream of owning your own farm and thriving here in Canada. You may only of had a hobby farm but that hobby farm left lots of meomories not just for the family but all who visited it.
You loved your gardens and the best garden you ever had a hand in is the legacy you leave behind in Frank, Teresa, Mom, me and your grand children and this is best summarized in the poem Grandpa garden. You have left us all a lot better off for you being in our lives.
You were always there for me and never once complained or hesitated when I ask for help or support. Even as a man myself iI found myself turning to you for support and approval and to make sure I was headed in the right direction. I always respected your thoughts and opionions. Your approval was very important.
You were always there to guide me through my struggles and never lost faith in me when I wasn`t sure myself.
You are no longer here to guide me in person but i hope you are still there when I need you and am feeling lost. (kinda like now)
I know everyone thinks they have the best dad but I know we had the best dad.
I am HONOURED and PROUD to have had you as my FATHER.
I hope I can be half the man you were.
Loving you missing you

Dear Uncle Case,
So many thoughts and memories are in my head I don't know where to begin. You have made a huge impact in my life from when I was small right through my adult life.I know you are smiling down and I can hear you say "hey kid it will be ok", that's what you said to me when Zach had his surgery. I am relieved that you are no longer in pain and that God finally took you home to his garden, and oh what a Gardner he got, you were the best. Remember I love you always, the best unlce a girl could ever ask for.
Love Debbie
