Peacefully at River Glen Haven Nursing Home, Sutton with his wife by his side Lt. Col. Douglas Kerr was Promoted to Glory on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Beloved husband of almost 60 years to Mildred (nee Peake) Kerr. Devoted father of Don (Pauline) Kerr, Catherine Kerr and Major Rob (Shelley) Kerr. Loving grandfather of Matt, Lauren, Andrea, and Alyson Kerr. Survived by his brothers Comm. Donald (Joyce) Kerr and Howard Kerr. Predeceased by his brothers Major Gordon Kerr and Lt. Col. Wm. Kerr. Fondly remembered and missed by his many relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Salvation Army Georgina Community Church 1816 Metro Road, Jackson's Point, ON. The family wishes to thank the staff at River Glen who lovingly cared for Douglas.
