Obituary of William Robert Pegg

William Robert "Bob" Pegg January 25, 1935 - December 8, 2013 Suddenly at his home Bob is travelling on another bend in the road (quote-Johnnie Cash). Travelling partner, friend, and loving husband for 53 adventurous and memorable years to Anne (nee Shillinglaw). Proud Shepherd of David, Connie Summerfeldt (Kevin Meaghan), Elaine Coates and Fraser (Connie). Loving and proud Opa to Erin & Taylor Pegg; Danielle, Davis & Jesse Summerfeldt; Ben & Sam Coates; and Isabel, Hudson & Evelyn Pegg. Brother to Phyllis & Joe Kelley, Doug Pegg & Catherine Craig, Larry & Nora Pegg, Ron & Kathryn Pegg, Helen & the late Merlin Pegg, and Arnold & the late Marguerite Johnson. Brother-in-law of Bruce & Harriet Shillinglaw, and Jean Shillinglaw. He was loved and respected by his many nieces & nephews, relatives and friends. He was truly a people person who cherished each friendship and would strike up an interest in anyone he met. Bob loved to visit and retell stories of his youth, family, hunting, farming, and history stories of the Belhaven community. Bob took great pride in his livestock and their breeding, especially his sheep, as he has raised them from the age of 5 years. For many years he was a consultant for universities, colleges and other sheep farmers while conducting seminaries and guest speaking. Memorial Visitation in Knox United Church, 34 Market Street, Sutton, Friday, December 13th, from 7-9 p.m. Celebration of Bob's life in the church on Saturday, December 14th, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 1:00 pm. Memorial donations to Knox United Church, Sutton or Southlake Regional Health Centre-Stronach Cancer Centre, Newmarket would be appreciated.
