Obituary of Doreen Mabel Edwards

Edwards, Doreen Mabel Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Center, Newmarket on Monday, September 1, 2008 at the age of 81 years. Doreen Edwards (nee Bowling) of Jackson's Point, formerly of Scarborough and Winnipeg, predeceased by her husbands Bill Woodall and Herb Edwards. Dear mother of Jeff Woodall (Cathy), Mark Woodall (Judy), Barbara Hockin (Randy), Colleen Gambier (Mike) and David Woodall and step mother of Cheryl Ellery (John). Loving grandmother of Shannon (Jamie), Ryan, Jordon, Kevan, Matthew, Brittany, Spencer, Jake, Josh, Kelsey and Korey and great grandmother of Abby. Dear sister of Shirley Walton (Jack) and the late Melvin Bowling and sister in law of Joyce Bowling. Sadly missed by her many friends and acquaintances. Doreen was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 356, Sutton and Branch 345, Scarborough, including Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary. Doreen was also active with the seniors games with the Town of Georgina. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel of the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, Thursday at 3:00 p.m. with Memorial Visitation from 2:00 p.m. Memorial Donations to the Southlake Regional Health Center Palliative Care or Cancer Clinic would be appreciated by the family.
