Obituary of Gladys Jean McDonald

Gladys Jean McDonald, nee Breadner, passed peacefully on Dec. 27. Her family was by her side for the journey. Born in Chinguacousy, Ontario in 1919, she was predeceased by her parents Annie and Edgar Breadner, her brother Gordon, husband Howard and granddaughter Deanne McDonald Breslin. Her loving family includes 5 generations - children Joan Cascanette (Reg), George McDonald (Marian) and Janice (McDonald) Zavarce (Cris); her grandchildren Stephen Cascanette (Susan), Lisa Henry (Bob), Laura Cascanette (Kevin Stanichuk), Tim McDonald and Carlos Zavarce. Her great-grandchildren Katrina Voorn, James West, Jack Rush, Michael Rutter, Taren, Tailyn, Tori and Trentin McDonald and Natalie Breslin. Plus four great-great grandsons. She will be especially missed by her cousin and best friend Helen Van Zeyl.
Gladys was a lifelong learner who realized her dreams of having her family close, fulfilling work, good scrabble, expressions of her many artistic talents, loyal dogs and the latest technology at hand. R.I.P. Mom - new assignment, Guardian Angel. Memorial service in the spring in Badjeros, Ontario TBA.
