Davidson, Irvin James After a valiant battle and with his family by his side throughout, Irvin peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in his 84th year at Southlake Regional Health Center, Newmarket. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Rye) for 63 years. Loving Father of Betty Ann (Larry Curtis deceased), Wendy (Ray Watt), Diane (Fred Haywood), predeceased by his son Doug. Irvin will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Karrie (Steve Miller), Heather, Kevin, Ryan, Kyle, Mitchell and Brooke and great grandchildren Jacob and Makenna. Brother of Robert (Pat deceased), Bernice, Beth (Ed Baiden deceased) and Bill deceased (Louise). Lovingly remembered by the Rye family. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Irvin was a lifelong resident of the area surrounding Belhaven, where he farmed throughout his life and was well known for growing the best sweet corn for miles around. His family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be on Friday, December 2nd at 1:00 p.m. in the Maple Hill Baptist Church, 215 Glenwoods Avenue, Keswick. Visitation in the church from 12 noon. Interment Queensville Cemetery, Queensville. Many thanks to the nurses and doctors at Southlake Regional Health Center for their care and compassion.
