Obituary of Mary Ann West

Mary Ann (nee Rowlandson) Mary West of Pefferlaw, wife of the late James William West, passed away in her 91st year, after a brief illness, on Saturday, June 7, 2008 with her daughters at her side. Loving mother to Judy (John) Olson, Lynda (Dave) Stewart, Marylou (Gary) Wellstead and Sue (Bill) Spinney. Cherished "Nan" of Kim (Steve), Jenny (Duncan), Jessica, Sarah (Anthony), Evan, Jamie, Leigh, Laura, Alex, Andrea and Brendon. Great grandmother of Katie, Cameron and J.D. Predeceased by her parents and her four siblings. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was born and raised in Nipissing Township and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1939 from Toronto Western Hospital. She dedicated her life to her family and spent her later years keeping track of her globe-trotting grandchildren, golfing, playing bridge and faithfully following her Toronto Blue Jays. Mom, you will be greatly missed and a very hard act to follow. A celebration of her life was held in the chapel of the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton on Wednesday, June 11 at 1:00 p.m. A sincere thank you to all the staff on the Cardiac and Palliative Wards at Southlake Regional Health Center.
