Obituary of Harold Arthur Whitcombe

Whitcombe, Harold Arthur Peacefully at River Glen Haven Nursing Home on Saturday, April 9th, 2011 in his 87th year. Harold Whitcombe, a much loved and respected gentleman, is the beloved husband of Audrey (nee Silk) of Sutton. Dear father of Jim (Becky), Don (Ann), and the late Susan Mae (1977). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Lynn (Adam), Arthur, Beth and Heather, and great grandchildren Alex and Julia. Dear brother of Hilda Green and the late Dorothea Whaley. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Harold was a WWII Normandy Veteran with the The Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders. A Celebration of Harold's Life will be held in Knox United Church, 34 Market Street, Sutton, Sunday, April 17th, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation in the church from 2:00 p.m. Family interment of cremated remains, Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton.
