Obituary of James Alexander Thayer

Thayer, James Alexander (Jim) Peacefully at his home, in Chateauquay, Quebec on Friday, April 1st, 2011, in his 76th year, with his faithful dog, Tag at his side. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Sharon, his parents, Emma and William, and siblings Jackie and Shirley. Jim will be deeply missed by his children, Janet (nee Thayer) and her husband Norm Imrie, James Thayer, Sue Thayer and Julie(nee Thayer) and her husband Jeff Pomerantz, his grandchildren, James Davis, Joshua Davis, Angela Thayer, Pamela Blakely (nee Thayer), James-Alex Thayer, Emmilie Gingras, Veronique Gingras, Tiffany Gingras and by his 5 step-grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Survived by sisters, Judy, Beatrice and Mary and many nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, daughter-in-laws and son-in-laws. Jim will also be greatly missed by his cherished friends. Resting at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Rd., Sutton, Ontario from 12 to 2 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011. Funeral Service in the chapel, Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion in Sutton. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
