Lavender Eleanor
Passed away on December 8th at the age of 77. She leaves behind Vernon, her husband of 58 years, and daughters Lorraine Baldwin-Everton and Dianne Kitlar. Her son Jim was predeceased in 1993. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Terry, Loretta, Julie, Jake and Beau, and by her great grandson Hunter. Eleanor was an outgoing, fun loving woman who enjoyed golfing, soap operas, music and especially dancing. She was always the first one on the dance floor and the last to leave. For years Eleanor volunteered her time at the Virginia United Church helping with Sunday school, church bazaars, yard sales and singing in the choir. During the winter months she found her greatest happiness on the beaches of Florida, swimming, collecting shells and organizing activities at the mobile park where she and Vern stayed. Her daughters remember a happy childhood with a mother who not only took them to the park, she jumped on the swings as well to play right along. Her spirit remained with her throughout her illness, as did her beautiful smile and youthful joy. Our thanks and hugs to all of the wonderful staff in The Harbour at Lakeview Manor for their compassion, dedication and loving support. They went above and beyond their duties. We give a special thank you to Pastor Doug Newfeld for his visit and kind words. Arrangements in care of the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 905-722-3274
