Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on Monday, August 2, 2010 at the age of 63 years. Oke Clark of Jackson's Point, beloved husband of Patricia (nee Taylor). Dear father of Wendy Cullingham and her husband Steve of Keswick and cherished Papa of Ryan. Dear brother of Joyce Barber, Dennis Clark (Vale) and Gay Dorion. Oke will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and business acquaintances that he has made over the years. Predeceased by his parents, William and Ensi (nee Ketonen) Clark. Oke was born and raised in Sutton. He was working at the Briars Resort when he met Patricia who became his wife of 42 years. Oke raised his family in Sutton and volunteered on the Sutton fire department for 25 years. Oke founded his own company of swimming pool maintenance and snowplowing in the winter season up until this past winter. In his spare time he enjoyed the serenity of Northern Ontario where he hunted and fished. Resting at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, from 7:00 -9:00 p.m. Thursday and 12:00 to 1:15p.m. Friday. Funeral Service in the chapel, Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment, Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton. Memorial donations to the Sick Kids Foundation, Cardiology Department, 525 University Ave., 14th floor, Toronto, ON M5G 2L3 would be appreciated by the family.
