Swackhamer, Frederick Park – Fred passed away peacefully at home in Sutton-by-the-Lake surrounded by his family on Saturday September 23rd, 2023 in his 99th year. Fred was the son of the late Joseph and Martha Swackhamer. Beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Rumball). Loving father of Robert (Joanne) Swackhamer; Ruth-Ann Spurrell and Charles Swackhamer. Cherished Grampa of Bryan Swackhamer (Kendall); Rebecca (Fred Green); Matthew Snider (Sarah); Sarah (Sheldon Jacob); Jordan Spurrell, Timothy Spurrell, Jesse Swackhamer (Chelsea); Elizabeth (Jaymes Myles) and Joel Swackhamer (Hanna). Doting great-grandpa of Kingston and Kanaan Webb; Ben and Katie Green; Jacob, Owen, Morgan Snider; Ella, Zack, Eva, Zavie Jacob; Jack Swackhamer; and Harrison and Carrington Myles. Will be remembered by his son-in-law Ron Snider. Predeceased by his daughter Susan Snider; son-in-law Doug Spurrell; daughter-in-law Melinda Swackhamer; and his brothers Earl (Esther) and Leonard (Nina). In keeping with Fred’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Fred’s Life will be Saturday September 30th at 2 pm at Sutton By the Lake Community Center, 112 Roxanna Drive. Arrangements entrusted to Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, Ontario. Memorial donations to the Bob Rumball Camp of The Deaf would be greatly appreciated by the family.
