Sorry for your loss. Rita always remembered me when I came in for meals. I would bring my senior friend Rosemary for lunch after church (after Harry passed away). Always had a smile and treated everyone with respect (and great service). You will be missed. Rest in Peace

Belly laughing so hard we had the next table at the restaurant laughing with us! Watching you and my Mom arm in arm supporting each other up the endless steps in white rock, Driving around looking for the both of you when you decided to venture out to the liquor store and got lost! One of my favourites was you learning to use my phone so you could capture some photos and videos of me and my Mom, absolutely priceless! Sharing stories over happier hour of you and my Mom putting chalkboard erasers in the teachers pockets (ha ha! I can totally see that!) And of course laughing like teenagers in your kingsized bed when we drove up to Whistler, you girls had so much fun it was fun to hear you from the next room xo Love you so much and miss your laugh already Red xo Thank you for shining your light on us as you did and please keep shining

I lived in Rita’s basement and she told me over and over again that I couldn’t have a dog . So I got a rottie puppy and hid him in the basement for a couple days till she found out one day when I was at work. And I came home to her playing with the puppy . Needless to say she loved that puppy. ( ONYX) . She gave me shit for lying but at the end of the day she let me keep him . She had a soft spot for that dog . I am not so sure she had a soft spot for me me at that moment. Rita was the kindest lady I have ever known and was so patient with all us little brats running around. You will be missed Rita . Love you and rest easy Ma.
