We met Joyce many years ago. I have never met a more generous person. Every Christmas she would knit mittens and give them to local charities. When our grandchildren moved in with us they got mittens as well. She was a bright star in our lives.

When I was a little girl we didn't have much but I could always count on a gift at Christmas from my favourite Auntie Joyce. A pair of knitted mittens or a bag of chocolates etc. She never had a lot either but she always remembered me and my 4 bothers and sister.
I miss you lots and will always remember you.

Dear Fred: My condolences on the passing of your dear Mom. It's marvellous that she was able to stay in her own home for her entire life and that she reached the ripe age of 100. She was a great lady and Sutton will miss her for sure. Rest in peace, Joyce
