Obituary of Art Arsenault

Arsenault, Arthur William (Korean Veteran, 4th Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery). Peacefully at Sunnybrook Veterans Wing, Toronto, on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the age of 86 years. Art Arsenault of Sutton, beloved husband of the late Shirley MacDonald. Father of Freeman Arsenault of Winnipeg and grandfather of Jazmine and Savanna. Dear brother of June and Charlie and Carl. Predeceased by his siblings Ralph, Ken, Jenny, Shirley, and Lomer. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, especially those in Sutton, Murray, Martin and Nancy (Nan), extended family and many friends including those of the RCL Branch 356, Sutton. Art was well known through Sutton for his dog Spud who accompanied him everywhere. The family extends their gratitude to the staff and doctors of the Veterans Wing at Sunnybrook for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial and Legion Service will be held in the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 356, 21 East Street, Sutton, Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. with the service at 2:00 p.m. Future interment of cremated remains, Briar Hill Cemetery, Sutton at a later date. Memorial donations to the Sunnybrook LST 3 Veterans Wing or the RCL Branch 356 Poppy Fund would be appreciated by the family.
