Rest in Peace Phil-
Phil was a very competitive card player and unique in the way he held his cards, but while being this he always found time to socialize and talk to all the other players. I just had to look at Phil's table to know when everyone else would be finished playing. It was very evident how much Phil enjoyed Fridays. A few years ago Phil was a patient at the Newmarket hospital, he discussed signing himself out to attend euchre - he just didn't want to miss out! Phil was also a creature of habit. Every Friday he would attend dinner with a group of friends, come pay his euchre entry fee and then head to the sweet /snack table to see what was for dessert-Phil had a real sweet tooth!
Phil is truly missed by all the Friday night euchre players in Uxbridge. It has been a pleasure.

Our deepest condolences to Paul, Todd and Peter. Uncle Phil was a bigger than life kinda guy who always had time for his nieces and nephews and we all have many memories of him and Aunt Eva. Always loved by all of the Jeneroux and Taylor families. Take care, we are sending our love. Patti Jeneroux Amyotte and Laurent Amyotte.

Phil, my jovial uncle, had a heart the size of Jupiter with just as many moons for kindness and thoughtfulness. His spirit was like a boisterous bonfire - ignitable and entrancingly captivating. One can hardly forget that wild westward journey turned camping extravaganza to Vancouver Island - indeed, it seemed Phil's love for family surpassed even his capacity for adventure! He shall be profoundly missed.

So sorry to hear of Phil’s passing. He was a great man who loved watching his grandson, Michael play hockey and baseball and his son, Paul as Michael’s hockey coach. He always said hello and sat with me in the stands. He will be missed.

Phil and I worked together as teachers. When I first met him, I was a bit leery since he seemed to have a stern look coupled with a towering height . I quickly found out that he was no more than a gentle giant. The students loved him: he was firm but fair in the classroom. As an auto teacher, he just wanted his students to learn as much as possible without getting hurt. As a friend, he just wanted to hear what you had to say. RIP Phil and my condolences to his son Todd and the rest of the family.

Phil was a colleague of mine at Stephen Leacock Collegiate; his views and opinions were highly respected at meetings and his wry sense of humour appreciated by students and staff members. During our mutual retirement, I visited Phil at his lovely home on Lake Simcoe, and always enjoyed conversations while sitting on the porch overlooking the lake. He was a fine and principled man.
