We were deeply saddened by Grants passing. I fondly remember fishing with Grant in Donald Dunnings fish hut off Jackson’s Point. Grant was very supportive and kind to Donald underneath all the teasing and fun. Many good times out on the lake in winter .Fall and early winter pickup football games followed by NFL football pools were a Sunday afternoon staple for several years. Grant was an exceptional football player and played on the Sutton High School team that won the Ontario championship. I always knew if a play had gone wrong when I could hear Grant utter his signature remark “ Stink”. He was a great card player and we had many great poker games into the wee hours of the morning. He loved cats and I finally forgave him for leaving that kitten with us that he was supposed to pick up the next day. Grant had one of the first liquid cooled snow machines back in the early 80s and we spent countless hours up and down the Black river to the lake (with a few close calls in the slush). When first married we rented a house with a long driveway and whenever Grant came to visit he always dropped the blade on his plow. Our time with him was short but memorable. He was a kind and generous person and a good friend. Rest in Peace. Ron and Janice

Grant was a good and kind person. He was very intelligent — you couldn’t beat him at Trivial Pursuit. He was one of the gang when it came to playing golf, poker or taking golf trips. Grant was a favourite of my parents and he was a frequent guest at our dinner table. Along with his Dad, Walter, Grant was an important part of the Briars Golf Club and it’s history and worked hard with limited resources to make it a great golf course. There are so many memories of Grant but the one that comes to mind is how he’d easily hoist my 125 lb dog Bandit up into his arms like he was a puppy. Grant was always smiling. May he rest in peace and be remembered for a long time.

Condolences to Grant's family on his passing. I fondly remember Grant as a friend of Donald Dunning. He was always generous of his time, picking up and dropping off Donald and all of his paint equipment.
Rest in peace Grant
