To my Big Brother.
I am going to miss your beautiful smile, I will miss our time together for coffee.
Steve and I would go visit our mother when she was still with us at the home every Saturday, we always made a pit stop for coffee and muffins, he never wanted me to pay but we always took turns with payment.
On our way home driving up Baseline we saw a boat in someone's yard, the boat was named Sea Biscuit. We liked to play a little game with each other every few weeks to see who could remember the name of the boat. One week he'd ask me, the next week I'd ask him, we would always end up remembering the name of the boat, this was funny and we ended up having a few good laughs.
I will miss watching your black and white 1930's movies with you, I would have a little giggle because he knew who every actor was.
I am going to miss making you home cooked meals, I know you enjoyed them and loved me bringing them for you.
I will miss hearing your voice message on your phone, and would never call during any sport events. You know Steve and his sports.
I am going to miss you very much, please give my love to mom, dad, brother Ken and relative's. Tell them I miss them all too.
I will see you one day, love always from your baby sister Cathy. Xoxo

Sister Pat
My brother Steve was a happy kid, loved swimming and fishing down at the many beaches on Lake Simcoe. When we were teens in the early 60's we would go to the dance at Miami and Elmhurst beach. Steve would always dance with me even though he would rather be hanging out with his buddies. I always remembered being asked to iron his dress pants for parties or dances and him giving me 25 cents, I got more if there was a shirt involved. Sometimes we'd hang out with our friends at Dolly's a convenience store that had pin ball machines, that's where my 25 cents would be spent getting a Coca-Cola and a bag of potato chips ( that would cost us 4-5 $ these days ). Allowance day was Tuesday at the Kerrison house when Dad got paid. Steve and I got 25 cents so that was more money to spend at Dolly's or Peter's store. One day I was at my friends house across the road from our house on Miami Dr. and Steve came to get me because supper was ready. Well didn't my friends dog take a bite out of Steve's leg, I think stitches were needed. I felt so bad for Steve that day. Steve's personality and his sense of humor sure shined through all his life. When telling stories, Steve's facial expressions and his hands and arms were always moving and I can't forget the different accents, English, Irish, Scottish and many more he used with his story telling. Steve loved watching sports on TV so believe me it was a chore to have a long conversation on the phone with him. He would try to get back to you in a day or two. Steve never forgot my birthday, especially with a little reminder from sister Cathy. Me and my sisters Sandy and Cathy and brother Doug will miss our big brother. I'm sure his best friend Brian and our cousin David will miss him too.
See you in heaven Bro, rest in peace

Remembering with great affection my cousin Steven. We shared so many happy times together as kids: swimming in Lake Simcoe, Christmas dinners with Aunt Lil, Uncle Ralph and the kids, and our trip to the New York World's Fair in 1964. Steven was a gentle soul, with a delightful, wry sense of humour. Here are a few photos remembering our good times: (1) Steven with his best friend Brian - July 1961, (2) Steven and Lassie on a frozen Lake Simcoe - March 1962, (3) Steven at the NYWF - July 1964. Rest in Peace, young man; I will miss you.

My sincere sympathy to Steve's Family and Friends. I have known Steve for many, many years and have lots of great memories with him. Our fishing adventures on Lake Simcoe and Lake Obabika were always such fun. Camping at Algonquin Park was also a treat. Getting together at the Kerrison home was always a very enjoyable occasion as well as spending summer vacation with the family. I have Steve to thank for expanding my vocabulary. Whenever I did not know what a word meant I could always count on Steve to advise me of the meaning. He loved reading and Stephen King was one of his favorite authors. Whenever I would gift him with the newest of King's books, I would always have to return it, as Steve would have it already. Steve was a very kind and compassionate soul. I will miss you, my friend.
