Marika, I feel an immense sadness at learning of your passing. Life is so unfair. You were 15 yrs old when we first met, through your mom Mavis, at the Leacock Theatre. You were an energetic, boisterous, slightly defiant teenager who never hesitated to jump in to help with the production, whenever needed. Your mom was so proud of you. Through the years you grew into a wonderful young woman who became a remarkable mother. No one had a smile like yours. The world has lost a beautiful soul, but heaven has gained an extraordinary angel. You will certainly be missed. Condolences to Warren, Brooklyn and Cameron. Hugs to Sharon and family.

Marika and I went to high school together. We spent some time together with a few other friends during that time. She was always bubbly and laughing. We went our separate ways after school but I always remember her smile, laugh and energy.

I met Warren when he was a custodian at Huron, years ago. I always appreciated the warmth of his smile. I became friends with Marika in 2019, when she worked as the Program Assistant of Huron’s bistro/hospitality program. Marika helped me to order our morale boosting festive dinner fundraiser maroon shirts which proclaim that “ teachers can do virtually anything”. I also really enjoyed teaching Brooklyn Foster, Marika’s talented, diligent, kind daughter, in our school’s French program. I also enjoyed watching Brooklyn perform as Chip in our school’s “ Beauty and the Beast”. I am sending my most heartfelt condolences to Warren, Cameron and Brooklyn now. I met Marika many years ago at Goreski's Landing in Port Perry, I was a part of the kids committee, and we were looking for vaullteers to help out, she volunteered and actually brought her whole family, they were a wonderful help and such an amazing family, so kind hearted, we got to know them over the years and watch the kids grow up, Marika and Warren have such big hearts and were alway willing to help out, even her mom, sister and nieces and never, she will be greatly missed and forever in our heart, I am very grateful to be apart o her life

Marika was my sisters & I daycare teacher/theater teacher. She loved us like her own children. She was so full of spunk and made every day an adventure at New Horizons Daycare. So sorry to hear this , growing up in Keswick it was a small community then and we all knew each other , I knew Marika from when we were grade school age hanging around at the lighthouse store and beaches in Keswick to then all of us attending Sutton high . So sorry to hear of her passing , I know she was loved dearly by her friends and family since she was such a happy loving soul

I knew Marika from my sons school. She was such a loving and fabulous human being. I would run in to her at walmart time to time and I would catch up on how my son is. She was so amazing. So kind. She always talked to me about how proud she was of her children. Im so deeply sorry. May she rest with peace.

Marika was one of the kindest, most caring and fun people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with.
