With heavy hearts and a great deal of sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Arthur Francis Griffiths at River Glen Haven Nursing Home, Sutton, on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Art, a long time resident of Baldwin is predeceased by his wife June Grace Griffiths. Father of Marianne, David and Dennis Griffiths and Step Father of Shannon Stewart. Art will be missed by all his friends and those he touched. Art was a veteran of the Korean War and became a long time employee with the Toronto EMS. He was also a skydiver pilot at the Baldwin Airport. A special thank you to all the wonderful staff and special friends at River Glen Haven Nursing Home who provided special care and love to him. At Art's request his body has been donated to science at the University of Toronto. A Celebration of Art's Life will be held at the Baldwin Airport, on Sunday, June 27, 2010 from 2 - 4 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
