Dean affectionately called Audrey his ‘tiger’ and an ’angel ‘. He loved her deeply and she, him. She was his best friend, confidante, and love.

I am part of Audrey’s Morning Glory family. We worked together very closely for many years teaching and producing the school musicals. The Lion King, Aladdin, and The Little Mermaid meant many, many hours together after school, and I could not have asked for a better partner. We also spent hours planning and rehearsing emotional Remembrance Day assemblies. There was no end to Audrey’s creativity, passion, kindness, generosity, and humility. It made her teaching so powerful. Her love of reading and promoting literacy was infectious and made a lasting impression on both staff and students. I have never known someone so enthusiastic about Dr Seuss or Minnie Mouse! I still remember that damn giant Cat in the Hat stuffy and its eyes that followed you everywhere!!!
When Audrey retired, my class performed a song for her. There were so many songs we could have chosen, but we went with one that meant a lot to both of us, and still remains the most fitting for the bright light Audrey will always be remembered as.

So sad to hear of Audrey's passing and recall how kindly she gave her support to Marjorie Kirkpatrick when she was ill. I fondly remember the inspiration and spirit she instilled in MGPS when she organized and we celebrated Dr. Suess Reading Day - a truly integrated learning community experience - complete with green eggs and ham! Marjorie was truly an awesome person and true colleague to work with. I'll always remember her pleasant, warm demeanour and happy laughter. Godspeed, God bless and farewell my friend.
