Gary was a rock on the offensive and defensive line of the SDHS sr football team. As one of several QBs it was always reassuring to have Mort's immense back in front of you. He was a good team mate.

Gary & I joined the Metropolitan Silver Band about the same time. For over 50 years we enjoyed playing together- Gary on trombone & Eflat tuba, me on percussion. Recently, if I didn't have a timpani part, I'd read Gary's tuba part over his shoulder. He was a great band friend. I'll miss him.

Elijah, Emma, and myself are saddened to know of your loss. We are so glad we were just there the other week for another visit with you both. The kids so love running up Farley as often as we are in town to have so many great visits together in spite of COVID as restrictions would allow. I was devastated to hear of Gary’s passing. We connected last year when I was in Ontario for vacation, after not seeing each other since high school. We were looking forward to spending more time together after my move to Ontario from the Yukon this year. We had so much fun in school stage productions (eg. “Pirates of Penzance”), and playing in the Sutton band.
