Uncle Dennis
You used to come over to England once or twice a year to visit your family and friends. You would always visit your brother Peter (my father) and my mother and if I was able I would meet up with you there.
You were very proud of all your family in Canada and always came with lots of photos of Tania, Matt and family and also old photos of wife Christine and Sean who you missed dearly.
You were very loyal to all your family and loved to keep in touch. We would drive over to Hamworthy beach by Black Pier and walk along the beach reminiscing. This place was a favourite of my father who would join us if he was well.
Uncle Dennis you will be sorely missed by all of your family.

Uncle Dennis,
Your family over seas will miss you terribly. I remember when I was a little girl you picked me up and put me over your shoulder (I hated heights) but with you Uncle Dennis I laughed and loved every bit of it. Thank you for travelling all that way across the water to be at my wedding it was lovely to have you there. I will miss you and I know Perry will he was so enthralled when you told your stories.
Your forever in our hearts
Love Karina Perry and Adam xxxx

To My Dearest Brother Dennis
Living so far away, yet in our hearts we were always near
You came to see me and the family each year
My heart is broken for no longer to hear "Hi Hazel, how you doing?"
Chatting for hours, just being together
Those memories I will cherish forever and ever.
Your always ever loving sister Hazel xxxxxx
God Bless

Dennis
It was a shock to hear of your passing and it will take a while before the family are used to the idea we will never see you again here in your beloved Hamworthy, the place where you grew up and returned to whenever you could.
You always had a story to tell but you never spoke about the army service which made you the character we all loved. A favourite memory of mine as a young child was watching you do tumble rolls over the furniture in our lounge, a skill learnt no doubt training for that ‘special’ service.
Life and health dealt you some cruel blows but now you can rest in peace reunited with Christine and your son Sean.
Andrew, Pauline, Terry, Danny and our families will miss you Uncle Dennis. We’ll always cherish the times we had together.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your passing uncle Dennis it has come as a shock to us all I know everyone here feels the same. I know if it wasn't for covid you would have been back over to see us and share your stories with us like you always did. All we have now are the memories of which there are plenty. You would always get the bus into town and do the rounds of seeing everyone, helping dad decorate when I first moved in my house, teaching josh to dive of the pier, telling me you punched a seagull haha. The way you still loved man United after all this time when I got you the hat one Christmas you was so happy.
You will be truly missed by us all Rip uncle Dennis xxx

Uncle Dennis, you will be sadly missed, not just by me but by all your family & friends over here in england. I will miss my pen pal, the one I've had since I was a child & will treasure all the times we've spent together, from sitting for hours talking and listening to the great stories you used to tell, you making me laugh or giving me advice, the days out & christmases spent with you, the time you was here and was diving off of the pier into the sea to teach josh how to do it properly, showing everyone how it was done even at the age you was. You was a true legend! You will forever be in my heart and thoughts. Love always, Cheryl & family xxx

Dave.....Impossible, ornary, teacher of everything I have learned, was a true "Brit". He was always right about everything, It was his way or no way! Growing up...we struggled as a family...my brother Sean & I but there was a roof over our head and food on the table. Dave spent a good part of my childhood building & repairing boats at Dawson's & Seven Seas Marina's in Keswick., he was also a proud Carpet installer. He was always a strong intelligent man...boy did we butt heads all the time. After losing my brother and 2 years later my mom...the love of his life, he wasn't the same man...he grew old and weak and withdrew from the world. I honestly believe the only thing that kept him going were his 3 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and the love & friendship of some special people. I am forever greatful for the love in his big heart. He had stories and boybdid he love to tell them at every chance. He was so proud of serving in the British Army. But most of all he was my dad.

Dave always had great stories to tell when he popped by for a visit. He was always there for us when we needed help. Always gave great gardening tips. He was a great artist, we will cherish the beautiful portraits that he painted of our pets that had passed. We loved him very much, and he will be missed always.
