Payton, Verna Jean Peacefully at Cedarvale Lodge, Keswick, on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the age of 95 years. Verna Payton (nee Skinner) of Sutton, beloved wife of of 43 years to the late Walter. Dear mother of Karen De Haan (Kees), Linda Payton and Gary Payton. Loving Grams of Amy (Daryl), Dan, Jennifer (Brad), Lucas, Dennis and Carly and great grams of Emma, Jaxson, Maddox and Maya. Predeceased by her parents Elsie and Howard Skinner, her brother Kenneth Skinner and her sister Dorothy Etherington. Fondly remembered by her extended family and friends. Verna had a long and full life, loving her family very much and enjoying a special relationship with every family member. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts. The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Cedarvale Lodge, who treated our mother with great care, kindness, dedication and compassion. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at the Forrest & Taylor Funeral Home, Sutton, followed by interment in Briar Hill Cemetery.
