Sincerest condolences to the Phillips family on the passing of your Mom. I have many fond memories of all of you from the gas station, getting my first “second hand” 10 speed bike from Jane to our family’s many visits to your home. My Dad George Hartwick worked for your Dad when he was young and always looked up to him. Most recently my Mom Luella reconnected with your Mom at Cedarvale where they both resided. May your Mother Rest In Peace.

Thank you for your kind words Cheryl. I got to chat with your mom a few times this summer when I’d visit mom. I was telling her I still use one of her lovely quilts she made back when I turned 16. It was nice for mom to have your mom’s friendship when she moved to Cedarvale. Lee

Our deepest condolences to the family of Marlene Phillips. She was a very kind and generous person, always interested in hearing what you were up too! She will be fondly remembered by many a golfer at the Briars, as she would be sure to wave as you went by her backyard on the 4th hole! RIP Marlene

Dear family of Marlene: Marlene was a truly wonderful person, always kind and caring for people. I knew she had moved to Cedarvale and I'm sure she hated leaving her beloved home with her big yard. I thought of her often and wondered how she was making out. I'm so sad to hear of her passing. You can be proud of such a fine Mother and Grandmother. Rest in the peace of Heaven, Marlene.
