This was our last Christmas together. We had such a nice day filled with happy memories. I’m so glad that we have these memories to share. Al was an amazing dad to me and the best grandpa my kids could ever have. And I’m very thankful he was able to make my mom so happy. He treated her like a queen. I love you Al always and forever. There are more memories than there is space available to talk about an honorary Uncle.
My earliest memory of Uncle Al, is from when I was around the age of 3. We lived in Jackson’s point at the time. We were visiting Al and Kathy one night, I wanted to play air hockey, but no one else wanted to. Knowing that I had never played before, Al took the time to show me how to play. Small actions like taking the time out of visiting with other adults to teach a kid to play a game, speaks volumes about the man that Al was.
Uncle Al, you are truly missed and have left a void in the lives of those who got to know you. Rest easy, you will need it for our next game!

As for leaving a memory......where do I begin? Al was quick witted and loved making people laugh. His smile, his laugh, his compassion for others and his friendship will be missed. Our family has so many fond memories of Al and we will carry those memories in our hearts.
