Karen & Kristi, our deepest sympathies go out to you and yours for the loss of your dad. Although we have not seem much of Uncle Ken in recent years, when we did happen upon him about town or at the local grocery store, he was always kind, soft spoken and welcomed us with open arms. Barry and I both hold fond memories in our hearts. For myself, it would be the time that my family and yours went to Nana Thomas’s cottage up in Parry Sound. Kristi was not even born at the time. I was just a mere tadpole, with my life jacket on, tethered to the rocks and left adrift in the water. Karen was likely not even a year old and, to save her any embarrassment, suffice it to say that she was a cute little thing in diapers. Barry remembers Uncle Ken best for his adequate supply of batteries…being a young boy with many mechanical toys and a shortage of batteries, he was always happy to see Uncle Ken arrive. We will forever remember Uncle Ken as being part of the Bell Canada family; a generous and caring Uncle; long time friend of our parents’ generation of so many years ago; and a doting father to you girls. WE always remember skidoing with Ken and family out the back forty to Pefferlaw. Ken always had a skiboose with spare parts in case we blew a track or something. Then, as the children got older we bought boats the same(Wellcraft) and went up the Trent to Beausoleil for summer fun. Even took a tent for the kids. We loved sharing the outdoors.
