Obituary of Rose Alice Morrell

Morrell, Rose Alice Peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, June 17, 2019 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket at the age of 96 years. Rose Morrell (nee Turcotte) of Sutton, formerly of Thornhill, beloved wife of the late George Morrell. Dear mother of James and his wife Marlene of Vancouver Island and Yolande Gordon and her husband Ross of Willow Beach. Loving Grandmother of Maxim (Katlyn), Tamsin, Aeden, Kaynan (Monica), and Aisha (Jamie) and Great Grandmother of Adelaide, Phoenix and Arzee. Fondly remembered by her extended family and friends. Rose lived an amazing life. She lived in Kuwait with her husband for 22 years and during that time, lived a life of adventure travelling the world. They immigrated to Canada in 1968 to raise their family in Thornhill. Rose will be remembered as a woman with great insight, words of wisdom and compassion for others. Bridge was a significant part of her life which brought her much joy from which she made many incredible friends here in Canada and in Kuwait and became a Ruby Life Master. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the Forrest and Taylor Funeral Home, 20846 Dalton Road, Sutton, Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:00 noon.
