We were very sorry to hear of Cheryl's passing. Her smile, infectious laughter, and happy positive personality peppered with a big heart and a strong sense of family, friends and community. She was loved by many and her community shall miss her prescence greatly. She may be gone but we will cherish our memories of her and her great costumes in our parades and functions.

It was a shock to hear that Cheryl has passed away! My thoughts and condolences goes out to Ken and the entire family. Cheryl and I met many years ago she helped me run the Pefferlaw MS support group for many years she was such a helpful and kind woman. She had the best sense of humour and we had a lot of laughs together! I am a better person for having known her and I will cherish the memories of the time we spent together. The news that Cheryl had passed so suddenly was a shock. We were cousins - my mom Orphy McPhail (MacDonald) was her dad's sister. I got to know Cheryl when she visited us way back in 1960 in Pictou N.S. She was a thoughtful; pleasant; intelligent girl back then and I know she retained those admirable traits throughout her life. We communicated on a regular basis via e-mail and enjoyed every minute of it. She had a great sense of humour - I will miss her - she was a wonderful lady.

Ken and Family...there are no words to properly express our heartfelt condolences to you. Cheryl was such a special person to me during our years of growing up as neighbours. I will miss my “big sister”. Her smile, laugh and hugs were the best, and she was so proud of her family. Memories are precious and will hopefully bring you all some comfort.

Cheryl was a good friend and neighbour and a Virginia United church member. She never missed a Sunday service and was always sitting in her favourite pew near the back of the church. We will miss her dearly. We will miss her happy smile and the good afternoon visits on our lakeside sunny deck.
